Product details

Inspired by original British Army MT (Motor Transport) gauntlets manufactured in India during World War II, these long leather gloves capture the rugged, functional character of wartime motorcycle and vehicle equipment.

This style of gauntlet was produced throughout WWII for motorcyclists, dispatch riders, Jeep drivers and lorry drivers, offering extended protection over the wrist and lower forearm. Today, the pattern is most commonly associated with British Army Dispatch Riders, whose motorcycles made them an unmistakable part of wartime military transport.

The originals that inspired this design were Indian-made examples dating from approximately 1942–1943. During the war, India became an important manufacturing base for British and Commonwealth equipment, with Indian-produced gear seeing service across North Africa, Sicily, Italy and the Far East.

Constructed in rugged brown leather, the gloves feature an extended flared gauntlet cuff, reinforced stitching and period-style wrist adjustment details. Natural variations and a worn leather appearance give them the character of genuine wartime equipment.
